What are Dermal Filler injections?

Dermal fillers are used to help reduce facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. We usually associate a youthful appearance with a fuller face that has volume, as we age we naturally lose superficial and deep fat resulting in a loss of volume and structure.

Dermal Filler injections provide a safe and effective way of addressing the aesthetic changes that occur with ageing.

Dermal Filler injections can be utilised to treat the following things:

  • Cheek height and contour

  • Lip volume and definition

  • Chin

  • Jawline enhancement

  • Fine line & wrinkle reduction

  • Tear trough

Alternative treatments that Dermal Filler injections can be used for:

  • Non Surgical Rhinoplasty

  • Forehead Contouring

  • Temple Depression

Side Effects:

Dermal Filler is tolerated very well by clients, we do offer topical anesthetic to help with any associated discomfort. Following your treatment you can expect some mild redness or swelling at the treatment area, this usually dissipates after 10-20 minutes. There is a small chance bruising can occur, if it does it is commonly mild. You are able to return to your daily activities post injections with no downtime.

Results:

Typically, clients will start to notice the effect of the treatment instantly, however, final results can take approximately 4 weeks as the dermal filler integrates into your natural tissue. Typically, the effect will last up to 1-2 years depending on the individual, product type and treatment area. 

Prior to your appointment:

Please avoid any blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin and naproxen 5 days prior to your treatment. Blood thinners can increase the likelihood of bruising.
